In this comprehensive oil painting course, Angelo’s instruction will focus on advancing your observational skills to then lay the fundamentals of good color and composition. This will be a comprehensive, easy to follow along course with a relaxed tone. Angelo's goal is to teach students to paint well, as a good woodworker would teach an apprentice to build a chair.

In this course, students will first design still life arrangements in the studio, and will then proceed on to painting. Great attention is paid to accuracy of the drawing, relative values, and observing the light flowing over the form. While great emphasis is placed upon observation, students are led to go beyond mere observation, and encouraged to design a rhythmic composition.
