Up-coming Exhibition: Summer 2023

Theme: All Creatures, Great & Small: Artworks of the Animal Kingdom

This Call to Artists invites all young artists ages 6 - 12 years old to submit an original artwork of their favorite animal, wild or domestic, mammal or bird, reptile or amphibian, the list goes on! 

Pencil, colored pencil, oil pastels, watercolor, paintings, and other traditional media will be accepted. No sculpture, photography, or digital pieces.

All artwork must be original and display ready. This means whether framed or unframed the piece must have appropriate wire to be able to be hung on a wall.

Up to four (4) images of original artworks may be submitted, and up to two (2) entries may be accepted into the show.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Submissions must be received no later than June 10, 2023.
• Accepted works will be notified June 17, 2023.
• Work should be received by July 1, 2023.
• Opening Reception: July 8, 11.00am - 1.00pm
• Entry fee $5.00

PRIZES:

One winner will be chosen from the following age groups:

Ages 6 - 7: $10 Michael's Gift Card + One Free Admission to the LIM (Long Island Museum)

Ages 8 - 9: $10 Michael's Gift Card + One Free Admission to the LIM

Ages 10 - 12: $10 Michael's Gift Card + One Free Admission to the LIM

Best in Show: Gift Certificate for One Free Youth Art & Art History 4-week semester (a $200 value)  + One Year Family Membership to the LIM
